‘Do it For LIFE’
Health & Wellbeing Event
Saturday 17th October 2009
The University of Wolverhampton’s first ‘Do it For LIFE’: Health & Wellbeing Event held on Saturday 17th October 2009 was a unique experience. I would like to give my personal thanks to all of you who worked hard to bring such an event to fruition.
It was noticeable how much you and our visitors enjoyed the event.
The feedback is proof of how people felt. Here are just some of the comments we've received:
• ‘Lots of interesting stands’
• ‘Thank you for organising the event’
• ‘Relaxing and helpful’
• ‘Friendly atmosphere’
• ‘All sectors statutory, voluntary, community’
• ‘Very good and well organised event’
• ‘Very useful information’
• ‘Lots of different aspects of health covered’
• ‘Very good variety of stalls and information’
• ‘Helpful, welcoming stallholders’
• 'More dance, aerobic & sport sessions…… getting families together in fun & health’
The day allowed us to refocus our priorities in our personal health outside of the ‘clinical/white coat setting’, which for most can be quite daunting. We must not loose the momentum from ‘Do it For LIFE’ and so I would like to ask all participants for any additional comments/ideas they may have which would be useful for future events.
We have made a start.
I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Kind regards
Dr Petula Nurse
